Is blogging for lawyers dead? No, says Bob Ambrogi

Among the first legal professionals to start a blog (way back in 2002) , Bob Ambrogi talks about how effective a tool a blog can be for lawyers to transform themselves into go-to resources for other lawyers or for clients. Blogging  isn't fast or easy, but in a video interview with Susan Martin of Thomson Reuters' Legal Current filmed during the American Association of Libraries (AALL) annual conference, Ambrogi gives several key tips:

  1. Establish a routine

  2. Develop a voice

  3. Get a niche (like a particular area of law or law practice management)

So blogs aren't dead. Neither are resumes. If you're trying to make a name for yourself consider whether blogging is for you.
